I was under the impression I could spray roundup on my new Provista lawn and it be OK, boy was I mistaken! I called Sod Depot to actually get a refund as I didn’t think they brought me out the Provista that I ordered. In reality, they are incredibly informative to let you know this grass is only tolerant to a certain type of weed killer, that does NOT include Roundup!
After the manager helped me determine that it was infact Provista I received, she gave me the 5 pieces for free that I had sprayed with Roundup.
Even though the mistake was entirely on me, Sod Depot still came through with impeccable customer service and helped me out! Thank you!

I purchased Pro Vista in May of 2023. I was resodding my backyard and had a weed problem in the past and want to be able to spray if needed. I have a fertilizer service that has done a great job for me. When I first laid the Pro Vista it looked great and rooted quickly. After a while I noticed some grassy weeds and sprayed some RoundUp in a small area. It killed the Pro Vista and the weeds. I reached out to Scott’s and they told me that it has to be glyphosate (sp). I ordered some and am waiting for a little cooler temps to try. Bottom line is I don’t think Pro Vista is worth the extra. I most likely will have to resod and will be using floratam. This is not a review of Sod Depot. They were great. It is about Pro Vista.
