Classic St. Augustine is a warm-season grass with broad blades and rich green color. It thrives in sunny locations, but also has a high shade tolerance. Classic St. Augustine grass grows quickly during summer, and more slowly in fall and spring. It requires moderate maintenance and has better disease and insect resistance than other St. Augustine’s.
